NORFOLK, VA (August 3, 2026)–
Who: The Chrysler Museum of Art welcomes renowned glass artist Danny White, also known as Ethan Windy, as the latest guest in the Perry Glass Studio’s Visiting Artist Series. Known for playful glass sculptures that bridge the visual language of painting, drawing, and glass art, visitors are invited to experience White’s creative process firsthand.
What: The Perry Glass Studio’s Visiting Artist Series brings the world’s top glass talent to our region, offering visitors the rare opportunity to watch masters of the medium at work. This August, Seattle-based artist Danny White joins the Studio for four days to share his art, techniques, and inspirations through a series of public events, including live demonstrations, Glass After Dark, and a free artist talk.
When: Thursday–Sunday, Aug. 20–23.
Where: The Chrysler Museum of Art’s Perry Glass Studio, 245 Grace Street, Norfolk, VA 23510
Why: The Visiting Artist Series was created to bring world-class glass artists to the Tidewater region to promote glass education and to attract broad interest in and enthusiasm for the Chrysler Museum and Perry Glass Studio. Artists participate in a series of events, often working with the Museum’s college partners through demonstrations, lectures, and critiques, while also engaging with the broader community through public demonstrations, Glass After Dark, and artist talks.
More: White has been entertaining audiences with his art for more than three decades. Trained in painting and drawing, he began working with glass in 2007 and has since developed a unique artistic voice through imaginative sculptures that emphasize character, color, and storytelling. His work combines the visual language of two-dimensional art with the expressive possibilities of glass.
