To ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors as well as the safety of the artwork

Please Adhere to the Following Rules

Visitors to the Chrysler Museum of Art may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded. The Museum may use the recordings for promotional, educational, and archival purposes.

Questions?

If you have any questions, please ask one of our Gallery Hosts, who are nationally recognized for their level of service. If you need anything during your visit, look for the people wearing blue. Alternatively, you can contact the Museum at 757-664-6200.

Professional/Amateur Photography

Visitors who wish to conduct professional or amateur photography shoots within the Chrysler Museum of Art may do so during public hours. However, we encourage scheduling a time with us in advance to minimize disruption to tours, events, and client walkthroughs.

To schedule, please contact the Special Events Department at 757-333-6233 or email events@chrysler.org. Suggested times are between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., however, other times can be arranged any time the Museum is open to the public, as long as rules outlined above are followed.

Private Photography Sessions

Anyone interested in private access to the Museum galleries or public spaces are welcome to schedule a private photography session. Private sessions are held on Mondays when the Museum is closed to the public. Photographers must be accompanied by a Museum staff member during private sessions, but may bring lighting and additional equipment.

The rental rate for a private photography session is $400, which includes a two-hour window with access to our main atrium space, Huber Court, and select pre-approved gallery spaces. For further inquiries, please contact our Special Events Department at 757-333-6233 or events@chrysler.org.
