Bring the family to the Chrysler for an afternoon of fantasy and wonder with a screening of James and the Giant Peach, Disney’s adaption of Roald Dahl’s classic tale. This event is presented in partnership with the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association and Naro Video. Runtime: 79 minutes

July 22–26 For ages 4-6 Create art inspired by our upcoming exhibition Eric Carle: Moonlit Nights & Other Illustrations. Make your own book, create colorful tissue papers as Eric Carle did, and learn how to illustrate a story with vibrant drawings. Each day, explore Eric Carle’s artwork in the gallery, hear a story reading, and work on art projects inspired by the exhibition.

Engraving Imagery and Adornment with Guest Instructors Heather Hartle and Margot Jacobs  July 22–26 Experience an introduction to engraving skills using both lathe turned wheels and micro-motor driven burs. Learn about design, advantages and limitations of each tool, materials used to engrave, choosing glass, and finishing your work.
