Donating stock or securities offers a number of benefits. Each stock gift we handle strengthens our programmatic work while providing tax benefits for supporters.

How to Donate Stock

• Request the Chrysler Museum’s trading account information by contacting Liz Hamilton, Major Gifts Officer, 757-333-6318 or lhamilton@chrysler.org
• Instruct your broker to transfer the chosen securities to the Chrysler Museum’s account via the Depository Trust Company (DTC)
• Notify the Chrysler Museum that you have initiated the gift so that we may properly allocate the funds and provide you with a tax receipt. Please contact Lona Hyde, Accounting Manager at (757) 333-6264, via fax at (757) 664-6201, or by email with your broker’s name and phone number, the stock you wish to give including the number of shares, and the intended purpose of your gift.
• Once the securities have been transferred by the DTC, the Chrysler Museum will be notified that your gift has been received. 

We recommend that you consult with your attorney or tax advisor for the various tax benefits and restrictions that may apply to your specific situation. We are available to you and your advisors to answer questions or help arrange a planned gift.
