Deputy Director for Visitor Experience
With more than twenty years of customer service management experience, Colleen Higginbotham guides the visitor experience at the Chrysler Museum through supervision and training of frontline staff, ongoing analysis of visitor research, and coordination of visitor logistics. She also oversees the catering contract, special events department, and security staff as well as the Museum Shop and Perry Glass Studio.
In 2007, she implemented the Museum’s Gallery Host program to create a warmer welcome to all Museum visitors. Gallery Hosts provide service, security, and engagement throughout the Museum to assure the safety of the collection, answer questions, and engage visitors in casual conversations about art. The program garnered national recognition and is now used as a model for other museums across the country.
