Ashley Grove Mars

Director of Communications

Ashley Grove Mars joined the Chrysler Museum of Art in 2022. As Director of Communications, she creates new and innovative ways to increase attendance and the organization’s visibility and mission. She manages the Museum’s marketing, advertising, public relations, and digital communications efforts, and oversees the Creative Services team.

Mars is an experienced marketing and creative professional. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism graphics from Ball State University and garnered experience in the fields of news and media, health care, commercial real estate, non-profits, and tourism. Prior to joining the Chrysler Museum, Mars was the Director of Communications at the Virginia Zoo, where she led its marketing efforts, developed key internal and external communications, and oversaw public relations and advertising strategies.

Mars’ enthusiasm for visual storytelling and authenticity amplifies the brand, driving connection to the Museum locally, nationally, and internationally.
