Transcend time and space at the new World Beats Concert Series. A kaleidoscope of music and culture, World Beats converges sounds from around the world with their rich and dynamic legacies. Inspired by Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, World Beats 2024 explores music with French influences and pairs each concert with French wine and food selected by guest chefs, sommeliers, and other culinary specialists. So, whether you’re a seasoned traveler or an armchair explorer, be prepared for a music, art, and culinary experience to entice the senses.
French influences are not confined to Europe but live on in legacies around the globe, including our very own Louisiana. On this night, the bayou comes alive with the soul-stirring sounds of T’Monde, the Louisiana phenomenon that Offbeat Magazine has called “a creative fusion of classic country and out-of-the-way Cajun.” With a combined 10 Grammy nominations between its members, T’Monde brings influences ranging from early Country music to ancient French and Creole ballads to present-day Cajun music. Step into a world where the accordion wails, the fiddle sings, and rhythms transport you to a place where the spirit of the French Acadians thrives. Culinary Spotlight: Wine and chocolate available for purchase.
