Immerse yourself in the world of printmaking! Join Oaxacan visiting artist Mercedes López for Norfolk’s own Oaxacan-style printmaking workshop. Delve into the fundamentals of various printmaking methods, and develop your artistic vision by creating original designs and compositions. The workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn printing techniques and visual designs that reflect the legacy and tradition of Oaxaca, Mexico.

$30 for members, $45 for non-members, registration recommended.

Central to any Oaxacan journey is the Pasaporte Grafico Oaxaca, an exciting activity that encourages visits to local print workshops. In the same spirit, the Chrysler Museum of Art presents the Oaxaca Central Passport! This passport encourages you to dive deeper into local creative experiences through exhibition related events and community partnerships.

How it works:

Grab a passport.
When you attend a listed event or visit a listed partner, ask for a passport stamp.
After collecting four or more of the nine stamps, return to the Chrysler Museum and show your passport to the Welcome Desk.
Choose from the following rewards:
1. A free ticket to the April 25 Ignite: Ink (18+), or
2. A limited edition print made in the exhibition
3. workshop, exclusively for passport participants.
