Dr. Bill Brown is the Karla Scherer Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. An expert whose work focuses on the intersection of literary, visual, and material cultures, Brown explores how inanimate objects enable humans to form and transform themselves. He will speak about his current project, “Re-Assemblage,” articulating the connections between society and assemblage practices. His project will focus on the assemblage work of American artist Robert Rauschenberg.
