Camp Art Stars is an extraordinary camp for extraordinary young artists! Each camp session, led by a professional art educator, is bustling with hands-on artmaking, experimentation with novel art materials, workshops with diverse professional artists, and fun collaborative learning experiences at the world renown Chrysler Museum of Art. At Camp Art Stars, process is valued over product and creative problem-solving is not only encouraged but also celebrated.
It’s all the things! Layer, mix, melt, print, and paint in this dynamic weeklong artmaking camp. Discover how artists combine different materials to create their works of art while exploring the Museum’s galleries. Throughout the week, young artists will work with local printmakers, glass artists, and musicians to dig into culture, creativity, and expression. Young artists will create a portfolio of work and celebrate their artistry during Friday’s art show!
Art Stars are asked to bring lunch and snacks. All art supplies are included, along with either a Chrysler Museum T-shirt or apron. We kindly ask Art Stars to wear their T-shirt or aprons daily to help support camp camaraderie and the security of all campers. Each day will feature artmaking, gallery visits, and outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Art Stars will check out the noon demo at the Perry Glass Studio.
