Follow Kishi Bashi, an internationally acclaimed composer, and songwriter, as he goes on a journey to learn about the history and its relevance when a media interview links the Muslim ban and the immigration crisis at the USA-Mexico border with the incarceration of Japanese-Americans during WWII. ‘Omoiyari’ is a genre-breaking, artistic exploration that fuses history, music, and the complexities of the human condition. This program is presented as part of the national celebration of Asian American, Native Hawai’ian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
