On this tour, delve into ways art reflects and shapes our local community and environment. With Jamestown is Sinking, a photography exhibition by Greta Pratt, we see stories rooted in the landscapes and various cultural dynamics at play. Together, we will discover how artists connect with their surroundings to create meaningful and resonant pieces.
Museum experiences, like Art Matters, are evidence-based interventions that help to improve the quality of life for those living with dementia. Individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease and their care partners are invited to diverse conversational tours at the renowned Chrysler Museum of Art designed to both offer a pleasant experience and serve as cognitive stimulation. Art Matters is a free program presented in partnership with the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
