Chrysler Museum Welcomes Reneé Duval Fairchild
Oct. 2, 2023 (Norfolk, Va.) The Chrysler Museum of Art is pleased to announce the appointment of Reneé Duval Fairchild as Chief Philanthropy Officer.
In this senior leadership role, she will work closely with Erik H. Neil, Macon and Joan Brock Director, collaborating with and managing the Museum’s Development and Membership teams. Duval Fairchild’s appointment rounds out the Museum’s critical positions with an exceptional team to move the institution forward.
“Along with her significant experience leading teams and developing strategies for giving, we are looking forward to the energy, enthusiasm, and warmth that she will bring to the Museum,” said Erik H. Neil, Macon and Joan Brock Director.
Most recently, Duval Fairchild served as a Director of Corporate Initiatives with Autism Speaks, navigating relationships with corporate and foundation partners, building corporate strategies with field teams across the country and supporting mission priorities.
Previously, she served as regional market director for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital leading a team across Virginia in its fundraising efforts. In addition, Duval Fairchild held development leadership roles at the Sentara Foundation, Virginia Beach SPCA and Volunteer Hampton Roads. As a consummate volunteer, she serves on the Virginia Wesleyan University Alumni Council, The Granby YMCA Board of Directors and is a Norfolk SPCA Witches & Whiskers Luncheon committee member.
“I am honored and excited to join the remarkable team at The Chrysler Museum of Art,” said Duval Fairchild. “I am looking forward to working with an extraordinary Development team and Board of Trustees to continue to uphold the Museum’s reputation for bringing art and people together through experiences that delight, inform, and inspire,” she added.
A resident of Hampton Roads for more than 20 years, Duval Fairchild originally hails from Springfield, Massachusetts. She attended Virginia Wesleyan University, graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Art and Psychology. She resides in Virginia Beach with her two daughters and her four-legged rescues.
