Who: The Chrysler Museum of Art invites party-goers ages 18+ to IgNITE: Glass After Dark, the ultimate mashup of two of the Museum’s most popular after-hours events. For one night only, IgNITE and Glass After Dark join forces for an evening bursting with self-expression, live entertainment and fire-fueled creativity.

Featuring: DKANE, Matthew Cox, Big Torrin, Everything Esmeralda silks acrobat, projection mapping with Beau, Further Studios, Mango Sculpts, Jarrell Williams X Love Songs on Sunday, Renee Calway, Kevin & Marquisha Johnson, Verde, Sasha Rigney Lilo Bistro, Tiny Gallery, art by Juli Mck, Wad Rugs Llcs, Aaron Wallis, Shade Of Idiosyncratic Magazine, Miss Sean Paints, Elizabeth River Trail, Impressions In Bloom, Shill Creations Studio, Onlyoceanart, Dawnda Lourdes, and Jessica C. Folck

What: Curated by local visionary Heidi Joy Delacruz, this high-energy art party celebrates the talent and imagination of regional artists while transforming the Perry Glass Studio into a playground of hands-on experiences, live music and joy. Guests are encouraged to dress to dazzle and experience a night packed with music, dancing and memorable moments, including:

• Live glassblowing filled with theatrics and molten magic
• Fun and games that make it easy to mingle and meet new people
• Demos, pop-ups and interactive activities with local artists and makers
• Collaborative art projects, a tiny gallery and blacklight doodling
• Live music from Billy Mercury and Tha Fellaz with a melodious welcome by Big Torrin
• Grounding and sound bath experiences with Jarrell Williams x Love Songs on Sunday
• Food trucks serving up crowd favorites and demos by award-winning mixologist Sasha Rigney
• A shimmer showdown of the night’s most luminous looks for the inaugural Iridescence Award
• DJ sets and dancing all evening long

Where: Perry Glass Studio, 245 Grace Street, Norfolk

Why:  Designed to spark imagination, IgNITE is a high-energy, multisensory experience packed with art, music, dancing, performances and surprises around every corner. Inspired by the extraordinary glass on view at the Perry Glass Studio and the stunning wearable art featured in “Constellations: Contemporary Jewelry from the Dallas Museum of Art,” IgNITE: Glass After Dark brings together the 757 creative community for a mashup celebrating glassblowing, discovery and the vibrant spirit of Norfolk.

Tickets: Ticket prices are $10 for Museum members and $25 for non-members. Tickets increase by $10 on the day of the event. Tickets are available now at chrysler.org/ignite.

Dress Code: Bring the shimmer! Sequins, metallic, holographic fabrics and all things luminous are encouraged. Dress to dazzle for a chance to win the Iridescence Award and earn bragging rights as the brightest star of the night.
