Our scrumptious exhibition, Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, reminds us that the food on our plates says a lot about who we are and where we live. Along with tours of the exhibition Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, this First Thursday spotlights the local farming community that nourishes Hampton Roads. Savor a farmers’ market with a twist, and learn about organizations that ensure everyone in our community gets fed—both the body and the soul. Visitors can participate in a community garden collage and other hands-on art-making activities while an Appalachian band honors the rural musical legacy of Virginia.
