The Masterpiece Society unites local and regional individuals who share a passion for the arts and a commitment to enhancing the Chrysler Museum. Funds from membership to the Masterpiece Society help the Museum to preserve, collect, exhibit, and nurture the understanding of great works of art.
Since its founding in 1992, the Masterpiece Society has provided critical funds for operational costs that have benefitted every area of the Museum. With their dues, Society Members have helped to keep the Museum free while also funding the purchase of artworks to expand the permanent collection.
Masterpiece Members enjoy many benefits, including exhibition previews, opportunities to meet visiting artists and invitations to exclusive art travel, private tours, and annual events, including the Art Purchase Dinner, Conversations with the Curators, and the Spring Masterpiece Social.
“The Masterpiece Society provides our most generous donors with the opportunity to have an important impact on the Museum while also enjoying unique cultural, educational, and social opportunities.” –Meredith Rutter, Chair, Masterpiece Society Steering Committee
