'Tis the season to bake sweet treats

Are you a culinary artist on the down low or a Weekend Baker? Do you have dreams of participating in The Great British Bake Off? Well, get ready for the most creative baking contest in Hampton Roads! In this “just for fun” baking battle, youth and adult bakers show off their skills with creations (pies, cakes, pastries, cookies, or bars) inspired by a work of art in the Chrysler Museum’s collection. See below for details.

Free First Thursday

The Bake-off will be the feature event at the Chrysler Museum’s First Thursday. All contestants and their guests are invited to join gallery talks of works featured in the Bake-Off, enjoy live music, and a cash bar with a signature craft cocktail. The Chrysler’s Poinsettia Tree will be up and everyone will get to dive into creative crafting activities before, after, and during the event.
