Experience the World’s Top Talent in Glass at the Perry Glass Studio’s Visiting Artist Series

NORFOLK, Va. (August 5, 2024) – The Perry Glass Studio’s Visiting Artist Series brings the world’s top glass art talent to the Hampton Roads area. Highly regarded for his skills in the Venetian glassmaking style, renowned glassblower Jeff Mack will join the Perry Glass Studio team from September 19 – September 22, 245 Grace Street, Norfolk.

Mack, the Manager of Hot Glass Programs at the Corning Museum of Glass, received his BFA from Bowling Green State University in 1996 and has since worked with glass in a range of contexts from factory floors and artists’ workshops to universities and museum programs. Mack is deeply interested in historic glassmaking techniques, having studied Murano glass with various Venetian glass artists.

“I love working directly with glass,” says Mack, “and at the same time, I am fascinated by its history; exploring its many uses for art, industry, architecture, and everything in between.”

Visitors are invited to an exciting showcase of Mack’s glassmaking skills at the newly expanded Perry Glass Studio.
