Event Series: Visiting Artist

For this installment of the Visiting Artist Series, we welcome Finnish designer and glass artist Anu Penttinen. Anu is one of the premier artists working in glass in Finland today, and her process and demonstrations will complement the Tapio Wirkkala exhibition in the Glass Changing Gallery.

The Visiting Artist Series brings world-class glass artists to our region, to promote glass education and to attract broader interest and enthusiasm for the Chrysler Museum and its Glass Studio. The series is an invitation to work at the Studio for four days, usually Thursday–Sunday. During this focused time, the artists are involved in a range of activities, which could include demonstrations and lectures at the Glass Studio for Museum visitors and the public, special demonstrations and discussions for local high school and college students, visits and social events with museum donors and local collectors, and video/audio recording for the Chrysler Museum’s website and archives.

Free for Members, $5 for non-members.

Tickets increase at the door. Registration recommended.
