Mentally Healthy Norfolk’s goal is to remove the stigma and spark discussions about mental health with Talk About It Norfolk. Meet representatives from the organization, learn more about the new initiative, and enjoy light refreshments. Also, discover themes of mental health in art during a tour of Edvard Munch and the Cycle of Life with Lloyd DeWitt, PhD, the Chief Curator and Irene Leache Curator of European Art.
Mentally Healthy Norfolk, a coalition of leaders from public health, nonprofit, government, education, and faith communities in Norfolk, has sponsored workshops for caregivers, service industry professionals, faith leaders, and other community members. The organization strives to encourage conversations about mental health, distribute resources, provide training opportunities, and create safe spaces throughout Norfolk where people can seek mental health care.
