The NEON Festival is back, and the Chrysler Museum will be aglow to kick off the festivities. Join us for an evening filled with music, activities, and art to celebrate the talent of Hampton Roads. Enjoy free outdoor performances by Rhythm Project All-Stars, Trio Atomic, and BTG Artist Collective and a free event with Poetry Society in the Museum.

At 7:30 p.m., participate in a meditative experience in the gallery during a sound bath with Kayce Laine. The sound bath is $8 for Museum members, $10 for non-members. Learn more and reserve your ticket.

At 8 p.m., witness the first-ever Glass After Dark at the Perry Glass Studio. Watch the Perry Glass Studio team take the molten material to exciting places and music from psych-rock band Berries. Use code NEON to get in for free. Get tickets.

The fun continues on Friday along Granby Street in the NEON District.

  • 5:30–6:30 Rhythm Project All-Stars (Mary’s Garden)
  • 6–6:45 p.m. Performance by Rebecca Gilmore Cellos and Mike on Keys (Huber Court)
  • 6–9 p.m. Human Library (Memorial Garden)
  • 6:30 p.m. Public Art Walking Tour (meets at Glass Studio Steps)
  • 6:30–8:30 Poetry Society (Gallery 205)
  • 7–7:45 Trio Atomic (Mary’s Garden)
  • 7–8 p.m. Performance by TRDance and VBT ensembles (Huber Court)
  • 7–8 p.m. Glow Yoga with Bhav Brigade and music by Prana Mukti Bhakti (Front lawn)
  • 7:30–8:30 Sound Bath with Kayce Laine (Gallery 218) Tickets required.
  • 8 p.m. Public Art Walking Tour (meets at Glass Studio steps)
  • 8–9 p.m. BTG Artist Collective featuring Equinox the Ubiquitous with the Hostile Animals and Ground Level (Mary’s Garden)
  • 8–10 p.m. Glass After Dark (Glass Studio, Doors open at 8 p.m. The event begins at 8:15 p.m.) Tickets required.

For the safety of everyone in our community, all visitors age 3 and up are required to wear a face mask in the Museum and Glass Studio, regardless of vaccination status.
