Always fun, but never the same, Mixtape is your chance to have a DYI evening with lots to do — but on your own schedule. From stellar live music performances to art-making, Mixtape is the place to get your creative juices flowing, relax, and spark connection. What’s in the mix this month?
For December, bassist, composer, and famed band leader, Jimmy Masters will bring the heat with his jazz quartet and a surprise vocalist.
Tidewater Blues will be in step, offering social dancing instruction and kicking up their heels!
757 Creative Re-Use Center will be in full effect to help you get your gift-wrapping started at a fun drop-in workshop at Zinnia Cafe.
Draw with local artist, Shara Wertz, in the exhibition, Susan Watkins: Women Artists in the Progressive Era, before or after you screen short films in the Kaufman Theater with Film Break Society at 7 p.m.
In the galleries, we will have art chats, music sets by Peep the DJ, and sneak peaks from our collection in the Goode Works or Paper Center.
And, to add to the warmth of the night, free cider and hot chocolate!!!
Mixtape is a free community event, currently funded by The ArtBridges Foundation Access for All initiative.
