Missed Mardi Gras in New Orleans? No problem! IgNITE: Kanaval is bringing the heat straight to you.
Step into a high-energy celebration where color, rhythm, and movement take over the Museum. Feel the pulse of live drumming, get swept up in electrifying line and salsa dancing, and experience a kaleidoscope of costumes, performances, and art chats. DJ Jo Froxi will be spinning pop beats with global vibes to keep the party going, but you can bring the fun!
Come dressed in carnival flair (the bolder, the better!) and join an impromptu parade (or two) because this isn’t just an event, it’s a full-on experience.
And the flavor? Just as vibrant. Enjoy specialty cocktails, Latin dancing, and line dancing!!
All of this is inspired by Beyond the Mountains: Danny Lyon’s Photography in Haiti, on view in the Chrysler Museum’s Frank Photography Gallery—making it a night where art and celebration collide.
Don’t miss it. Kanaval is calling.
