Event Series: Figure Drawing

Explore the time-honored drawing techniques used by 19th-century artist Susan Watkins at the Académie Julian. In this three-part workshop, students will develop their observational skills, refine their shading techniques, and work from a live model, following the rigorous academic methods practiced in historic European ateliers. Led by local artist Rowena Finn, the class sessions include foundations of classical drawing, refining form and mastering shading, and life drawing from a live model. Beginners and intermediate artists welcome.

Note: This event consists of three sessions, November 2, 9, and 16.
