Fancy a tipple with your favorite Chrysler curators? Join us for a virtual happy hour inspired by works of art. Local bartender Josh Seaburg will demonstrate how to craft a signature cocktail so you can sip while delving into a work currently on view at the Museum, all from the comfort of your home.
For our first Curated Cocktails happy hour, we will take a trip to Spain with William Merritt Chase’s Carmencita, a highlight of Americans in Spain. Corey Piper, Ph.D., Brock Curator of American Art, will give an in-depth look at the artwork. Seaburg will demonstrate how to make a bourbon-based cocktail inspired by Carmencita and share fascinating connections between the drink and the painting.
This event is free thanks to support from PNC Bank. Registration is required. The link to the webinar link will be sent on day of the event.
Purchase an optional ready-to-stir cocktail kit for $10. Pickup will be available the Saturday before the event from 4-10 p.m. at Crudo Nudo, 727 W 21st St, Norfolk.
