Art of Jazz
The popular Art of Jazz features an all-star lineup of regional performers every Wednesday night from 6:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Museum’s Huber Court. Wine and refreshments are available for purchase, and the Museum’s galleries stay open for guests’ enjoyment. A complete schedule of performers is listed below.

The Fine Art of Wine―an informal wine tasting―takes place the first Wednesday of each month and is sponsored by Farm Fresh. Members receive a $1 discount on each glass of wine and half-off wine tasting.

ART AFTER DARK
This exciting outdoor film series runs from June through September. Art After Dark features a Gallery Talk in the Museum at 7 p.m. followed by a film presentation in Mary’s Garden at 8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. WORKSHOPS
Educational workshops for adults are offered periodically throughout the year. Special emphasis is placed on using the Chrysler’s Permanent Collection as a basis for inspiration and study. Click here for more information on upcoming workshops.

CHRYSLER CREATES

GALLERY TALKS

All Gallery Talks take place on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.  Topics vary from special areas of the Chrysler collection to temporary exhibitions. They are free and open to the public. For this week's schedule, please consult the Calendar of Events.

PUBLIC TOURS

Tours are offered throughout the year and by appointment. Tours focus on the Permanent Collection, special exhibitions, and various art historical and cultural themes. Please call (757) 333-6269 for group reservations. Cost: Included with Museum admission or free to Museum Members.

SENIOR ART FORUM

This senior citizens group meets at 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month unless otherwise noted for a tour, discussion, and light refreshments. No reservations are necessary for individuals, but please call (757) 333-6268 for group reservations. Cost: Included with Museum admission or free to Museum Members.

HISTORY OF GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP

Take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to explore glassblowing live with Kelly Conway, Curator of Glass at the Museum, and Ed Francis, Assistant Professor of Art at Tidewater Community College, as they explore the glassmaking techniques used through time. The workshop will run for three evenings, Wednesday, June 25 to Friday, June 27, at a temporary hot glass shop in Mary’s Garden.  Click here for a registration form.
